King's Heating & Plumbing’s History
In 1946, James King and Homer Johnson established the King and Johnson Appliance Store at 215 North Buckeye Street in Kokomo. Soon, they began selling Kalamazoo furnaces, laying the groundwork for King's as we know it today. In 1948, James King bought out his partner’s share and renamed the company King's Kalamazoo Store. James ran the business with his wife, Edna, and sons, Ronald and Roger.
The business relocated to its current location at 115 East Vaile Avenue in 1961. After James retired, Ronald took over operations, and Roger managed inside sales.
In 1965, the business leaped forward and was incorporated as King's Heating and Plumbing, Inc., marking a new era of growth and prosperity.
Since 1992, the third generation of the King family has guided our operations. Jerry King, Jay King, Rick Newton, and Terri King are valued members of our management team.

First and foremost, the price was by far the best when I went to compare against others that you see around town.
As with any home project, there’s always things that come up. Jerry King along with Stephen, Matt, Josh and Eli went above and beyond to help me find a solution. The four gentlemen that worked to install my new gas, furnace and air conditioner as well as helping me deal with the gas line issue were all very professional and took the extra time to make sure that I understood everything that was being done.
I would highly recommend King’s Heating and Plumbing and I’m so glad that I signed up for the annual service feature that they offer.
